Summary of Application Experience
2nd time applying, late waitlist acceptances
The GPAs above were those reported on my AMCAS application. By the time that I was finally accepted from the waitlists the following summer, I had finished 9 more classes which would have raised my BCPM GPA to about 3.3 and my overall to about 2.8. While I was waiting on the waitlists, I updated the schools with my progress in my research work and with my new post-bacc class grades (4 A's, 3 A+'s, 1 A-, 1 B+).
User #1738 took the old MCAT and scored a 37 which is in the 98th percentile of all old scores.
We converted this to a 520 on the updated scale which is in the 98th percentile of the updated MCAT. We also converted User #1738’s section scores as follows:
User #1738 scored a 12 on the Biological Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 130 on the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems.
User #1738 scored a 12 on the Physical Science section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 129 on the Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems.
User #1738 scored a 13 on the Verbal Reasoning section of the old MCAT which is approximately equal to a 132 on the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills.
