Summary of Application Experience
Apply early! Last year I applied late due to taking the August MCAT and interviewed at only two schools. I was rejected from one and waitlisted at the other only to not matriculate. This year I applied much earlier (primary application in by mid June, all secondaries in by the end of August). I was offered 2 interviews in September including my top choice school. I was ultimately waitlisted at Jefferson in a 'high priority category' whatever that means. In December I was accepted into my top choice school after being offered interviews at Drexel and PCOM. I immediately withdrew from all my other schools since CU was my top choice. Despite already having withdrawn I was offered an interview at COMP in April which I declined.
My advice to other reapplicants is to discuss with the schools you are rejected from to determine weaknesses in your application. Use this information to improve your application for the next cycle. My weakness was Science GPA but my graduate school grades (3.95 not seen in 2002-2003 cycle) combined with high MCAT score, extracurriculars, and last 2 years of undergrad (~3.8) did a lot to overcome this weakness.
