Summary of Application Experience

I'm primarily posting my stats to show people that the lack of a killer MCAT does not necesarily spell doom in an application. Although my 32S is significantly below Northwestern's average, I still got in there and a number of other schools. If I were to offer my advice for future applicants, It would be first of all to get things in as early as possible. Second, get close to your rec letter writers. I think the biggest strength of my application were my rec letters from professors who I had significant interaction with. Don't take these things lightly, as they are scrutinized carefully, particularly at the later stages of an application (after the interview).
