Brief Profile:
* GPA ~ 3.8, MCAT between 90th and 95th percentile, URM * Good leadership experience with a good story for each experience * ~2 years of research (one pub after the cycle was over) * Adequate amount of shadowing * I lend a lot of my cycle success to well-thought-out PS and secondaries. My essays were brought up many times in interviews, so don't underestimate how far good essays and PS can get you!

// Applications //
Application Cycle One: 05/31/2015
Undergraduate Area of study: Biological/Life Sciences
Summary of Experience:
Applied on a whim (and late) after receiving a letter from their office of recruitment (they had my contact info through MED-Mar) urging me to apply because my MCAT score falls within their range and thought I might as well.
In shock is the only way to describe the II and the day at HMS was very impressive.
Summary of Experience:
Decided to chalk up Duke as one of my reaches due to very good things various people have told me about DukeMed. Secondary was quite the marathon, but was very thought-provoking.
Blown away by the interview invite! Could not be more excited!
MMI was very different than the traditional interviews I attended and was challenging at times, but was a nice change of scenery, We will see in March what the outcome is!
Summary of Experience:
Disappointing is an understatement after being waitlisted seeing as this was the place I thought I had the best shot at. We will see what kind of WL movement there is this year, that in state tuition looks amazing.
Summary of Experience:
Was my first interview and probably performed relatively poorly, so the WL wasn't a terrible shock. Disappointing nonetheless because I ended up liking the school much more than I had anticipated.
Summary of Experience:
Definitely was not expecting an acceptance here. I was extremely sick on the interview day and it took all of my effort just to stay awake and carry on a normal conversation with other applicants and my interviewer. Will try to attend the second look weekend because I wasn't able to appreciate and soak in any aspect of the interview day or school in the condition I was in.
Summary of Experience:
I thought this school was an absolute long shot, but by some miracle was accepted! Absolutely shocked but thrilled by this acceptance. School has so much going for it and is easily one of my top picks.
