Summary of Application Experience
My college pre-health committee really frustrated me with delays-- despite friendly "reminders", my cover letter wasn't complete until 9/6, which was almost a month after my AMCAS was verified
Summary of Experience:
Well that hurt. My secondary here wasn't great, but it's tough to accept that my state school wouldn't even give me an interview given that my stats are above their averages.
Summary of Experience:
Loved the school! The MMI wasn't as bad as it could have been, but I still much prefer traditional interviews. Interviewees were all totally exhausted after MMI and this was reflected in the (lack of) energy during the subsequent tour of the school and facilities.
Withdrew from the waitlist due to my acceptance at Columbia. Hopefully it helps someone else get in!
Summary of Experience:
Couldn't believe my own state school would wait list me like that. Even though my stats were significantly above the mean at Temple, I gave it an entirely fair shot and was just as engaged and interested as I was during all of my interviews.
Getting wait listed here certainly made life more stressful for me--I didn't get into a medical school for another month. I don't like to think of myself as vindictive, but I might have gotten a bit more enjoyment out of withdrawing here than I should have.
Summary of Experience:
Really liked the school, especially with the big discount given to students during the extra year of an MD-MPH dual degree. I enjoyed the panel interview and found the other candidates in my group extremely interesting. I never felt like I was competing with them. I thought the interview day was especially exhausting...I know Grady is a huge part of Emory, but there is no need for the interview day to take so long.
