Summary of Experience:
Currently doing their accelerated Master of Science in Nutrition program. Thought I would at least get an interview from them! :-( Not disappointed though because I'm getting out of the cold and going to sunny L.A.!
Summary of Experience:
A Friday the 13th rejection. So glad I got accepted to USC before hearing from this school! Wasn't my top choice, but was definitely surprised that I didn't even get a wait list. Just goes to show that it's always a crap shoot and you never really know how your chances are. Apply widely and to many schools!
Summary of Experience:
LOVED this school! I stayed with three host second year students. They were extremely friendly and welcoming and seemed to have a life outside of school. Having the interview in the morning is such a stress relief because the rest of the day is meant for enjoyment and you don't have to be so nervous anymore. I think the interview went really well and very straight forward. No trick questions, they just want you to explain about why you want to go into medicine and what about your experiences says that. They also strongly emphasize a diverse student body and broad perspective in healthcare. Pass/Fail for the first two years really takes out the competitive nature during the preclerkship years. This would be a great fit for me!
Summary of Experience:
LOVED the school, the faculty, the students, the city, the weather, EVERYTHING. Definitely my top choice as of now.
UPDATE 2/10/15: I GOT IN!!!!!!!! I'm so excited to be going to such an amazing school that has such a supportive vibe from the faculty and the students. And I can't complain at all that I will be moving to LOS ANGELES! :-) :-) :-) I'M ECSTATIC!
