Summary of Application Experience
So my MCAT score is one I am guessing on. I actually took the MCAT on Sept 10th so I am still waiting for results. And let me just say, this wait is KILLING ME! I am obsessed with SDN and check my email compulsively. My primaries are in (AMCAS, TMDSAS, and AACOMAS). I've completed several secondaries but it's been quiet for weeks now, just waiting on my MCAT scores. *crickets*
10/11/11 my scores were a lot worse than I expected. PS 3/ VR 8/ BS 8. Scheduled a January retake.
11/9/11 Super irritated with studying for the MCAT again. It's not like you will ever use physics or general chemistry in med school or even in your career later on. What a waste. . . *sigh*
2/28/12 January scores are in! BS 7 PS 6 VR 9. Not great but I think with my solid healthcare experiences, I at least stand a shot. And if not this year, there's always next year. Hoping and praying for this year though :-D
After updating the three remaining schools, one said my score wasn't good enough (I guess being a nurse practitioner and nurse anesthetist doesn't show I can handle medical school; apparently knowing physics and gen chem is much more important), one still has me in limbo, and my top choice invited me for an interview. Praying all day, everyday for this one.
