    Summary of Application Experience

6/4/08- submitted AMCAS app today but still waiting on transcripts to go in. Both of the colleges I attended has sent it so it's just waiting now.
6/11/08- AMCAS still haven't received my transcripts. I'm starting to get anxious but they are still processing transcripts received 6/3/08
6/24/08- AMCAS verified my application. However, I recieved ~20 X's because they changed all my sophmore standings to Freshmen standing etc. I hope this won't affect my chances cause the X's don't look pretty.
7/31/08- As I get near the end of writing secondaries, I find that I am more nervous. I really really want just one interview besides the University of Utah or USC. Sigh.
8/5/08- As of today, I am done with all my secondaries except Mayo. I have yet to hear back from them but I think I'm going to enjoy this break.
8/19/08-I submitted Mayo's secondary which was easy but I'm still not complete at Columbia...I think they hate me. :(
10/1/08- So it has been awhile and I'm finally hearing back from schools. Hopkins rejected me which suck but I got an interview at Duke! YAY! The only bad thing is that I'm out of the country so I won't actually interview till Jan/Feb.
12/27/08- OK so I have ignored almost everything since I have come to China but I will fly back in february for 2 weeks. So far, I only have two interviews and I'm hoping for 3 or 4. I have yet to hear from 4 schools but by early january, I must decide when to go back so here's to hoping the next two weeks brings some news....even bad news.
2/1/08- I now have five interviews and I'm back in the US. I recently interviewed at the University of Utah and I was impressed. The facilities were great and the program director had a no-bs attitude which I enjoyed. I have to say that I was somewhat take aback by the physical attributes of the students...I think I met a person who was an olympic skier and another student who was a world-class rock climber...eek!
3/1/08- on that interviews are over, I'm just sitting around and waiting. I hope I get a few acceptances so I could choose but honestly, I'd be happy with just one.
3/4/08- YAY!!! I AM IN!!! I feel like the last few years have somehow been validated. I just can't believe I got in and I honestly loved the U of U
3/31/08- I have decided to accept the University of Utah's offer...eight years close to home with skiing/hiking is hard to beat. I will remain on Mayo's waitlist awhile longer and I will see what Keck gives me in terms of financial aid but I'm pretty sure I'd like to go to the U
