Summary of Application Experience
I took the MCAT in August 2006 and received a 24 (PS 8 VR 6 BS 10). I had already applied to school, and obviously didn't get in. I decided to retake in July 2007 and got a 32R!!! Now it is time for round 2. I submitted my primaries before I took the MCAT and submitted most of my secondaries right after I received my score. I was able to maintain a 4.0 my senior year. I am crossing my fingers that the second time is a charm.
9/6/07 - I received my first interview from FSU College of Medicine. I scheduled it for 10/26!!! :)
9/13/07 - My second interview invite and its USF!!! This is so exciting :) I scheduled the interview for 10/1.
9/24/07 - I received the invite for Miami today!!! My interview will be on 10/15 in Miami and 10/25 in Boca
10/1 - I just returned from my interview at USF. Overall I absolutely loved it there. My interviews went VERY well, but I heard that doesn't necessarily mean much of anything. I will find out their final decision on 10/15.
10/5 - At first this week started out crappy with my BU rejections, but I arrived home to a Stonybrook invite! :) I scheduled my interview for 11/16... yay!
10/16 - MY FIRST ACCEPTANCE... USF :)
10/24 - Waitlist at UM Miami... not happy :(
11/8 -Waitlist at UM Boca... not very happy again :(
11/30 - Stony Brook waitlist... bleeh!
1/25 - NYMC invite... and I thought I was a dead fish in the water. Yay!
2/25 What a day! INVITE FROM BROWN!!! The interview is for 2/28 and I couldn't be happier. Wow wow wow!!!! Oh and I was rejected from AECOM...who cares :p
I also decided to withdraw from NYMC. The tuition and the area were major drawbacks.
3/3 I just got back from Brown. I LOVED IT! I felt the interviews went really well. Decisions will be out 3/14.
Additionally I was rejected from UF via a misspelled email. I would say I care... but I don't.
3/11 - Anxiously awaiting to hear from Brown. Please, please please!!!
3/14 Wait-listed at Brown ::sob:: I'm still not losing hope.
4/15 - I am experiencing the hardest week of my life. All my mom would want is to see me in my coat :(
7/10 - PHONE CALL - ACCEPTED TO STONY BROOK. This process is truly crazy!!!
7/11 - I withdrew from USF today.
8/4 - I received a letter in the mail today stating my rejection from Miami. I'm still upset about it, despite my stuff being picked up for Long Island today :(
8/15 - Well I got a generic email rejection from Brown today. I knew that classes started on 8/13 but it still sucks. HOWEVER I am very excited to start at Stony Brook. What a ride this was...
