    Summary of Application Experience

    Currently working on secondaries.
7/25- Submitted 8 secondaries over the last month.
    7/27- Louisville interview invite!
    8/6- Vanderbilt interview invite!
    8/16- Tulane interview invite!
    8/22- Georgetown interview invite!
9/10- So far I've interviewed at Vandy and Louisville. Recently got invites from Kentucky, Buffalo, Illinois, and Brown.
9/25- Mayo Rejection. I guess there will be no Minnesota winters for me, haha.
10/15- First bit of news- Waitlisted at Buffalo. Got the acceptance call from Vanderbilt at around 11 pm.
10/17- Declined interviews at Tulane, West Virginia, and Illinois today. Almost 100% sure going to Vanderbilt (an interview invite from Baylor or a couple others could change that, but I don't see it happening). Finally got around to withdrawing from USUHS, Toledo and Tennessee as well.
10/23- Declined Interview at Brown today. It hurt a little, but I prefer a school in the South or West as opposed to New England.
12/18- UK offered full tuition scholarship, which has made my decision a little more difficult.
1/12- At this point it looks like I will be deciding between Louisville, Vanderbilt and UK. I probably won't be making a decision until I see the financial aid offers from Vandy and Louisville though.
3/16- Still no scholarship love from Louisville. I figured they'd at least offer me something since UK did, but that is not the case. As of right now, I'm gearing up for Vanderbilt's Second Look weekend in about 4 weeks.
4/15- Vanderbilt's Second Look was one of the most amazing weekends of my life. The current and prospective students I hung out with were some of the most interesting people I've ever met. The campus was beautiful and Nashville was fantastic as well; the bars downtown were so much fun. Financial aid packets are supposed to be sent out at the end of this week, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed until then.
4/24- Withdrew from Louisville today. No need to make some angsty pre-med wait in agony for a spot to open up from the waitlist any longer.
4/25- Despite the $200k+ debt I will be taking on, I have decided to attend Vanderbilt in the fall. The program and location were just too good to pass up. I decided to choose happiness over money, hopefully I made the right choice.
