Brief Profile:
*4 years of varsity track and field--school record holder, NCAA academic all-american, 8 times all-conference (Div. II) *some volunteering experience; most is sporadic (hellooo, I was a varsity athlete and worked) and non-medical, but I have been volunteering at a local hospital since this spring *worked 10-30 hours per week throughout different phases of my post-secondary education *earned 2 competitive fellowships/scholarships in graduate school *decent amount of research (continuous since junior year of college through 2 yrs. of grad school), but no publications *2 conference presentations of my research (psychology, not medical) *2 years on college bowling team *Pre-med club during post-bacc year *SHAPE (spreading health awareness through peer education) member in college *GEOC (graduate employee organizing committee) member in graduate school * *1 year as graduate teaching assistant for statistics (taught my own lab sections) *now coaching gymnastics at local YMCA and head coach of a high school team, also sprints and jumps coach for high school's track team (leadership?) *applied last year with a 27S MCAT (10V,10BS,7PS) and missing science prerequesites (was in the process of completing them) and was rejected by all schools without an interview *BCPM is about 3.7 when undergrad and post-bac undergrad courses are combined to make a single GPA (AMCAS keeps them separate) *Possible 'red flag'--left graduate PhD program in psychology after 2 years of study...realized it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life...was doing well in program, however, 4.0 and #1 in class
